Pittman Labs / iPad
CameraMixer.
Your dedicated camera desk.
A camera-first companion to Micromixer and Macromixer, in development for iPad.
In development. CameraMixer targets iPad with iPadOS 17 or later. There is no public download, announced price or release date yet. The features below describe the workspace being built.
Six cameras, within reach
CameraMixer is being built around six camera positions, so an operator can adjust the picture while the switcher operator stays focused on the show.
- Focus, autofocus, iris and lens-supported zoom.
- White balance, tint, gain and shutter adjustments.
- Lift, gamma, gain and other supported color adjustments.
- Group white-balance and gain adjustments across selected cameras.
- Saved camera looks and a choice of camera-monitor output.
Alongside your mixer
Use Micromixer on iPhone or Macromixer on Mac for switching and monitoring. CameraMixer is the separate workspace for lens and picture adjustments. The apps connect to your equipment; they do not require a hosted Pittman Labs control service.
Camera and network requirements
The controller is being built for compatible Blackmagic cameras connected through an ATEM, using the camera-control protocol. It needs a direct connection to the ATEM, matching camera IDs, an ATEM return connection and a compatible lens. Available lens and picture controls depend on your camera, lens and firmware.
A configured ATEM auxiliary output supplies the camera operator’s external monitor. CameraMixer’s camera-monitor routing is separate from Program switching. Pan and tilt motor control is outside this app’s current scope.
